WORLD FILMS' "THE BUTCHER" STEALS THE SHOW AT SEVERAL TOP U.S. FILM FESTIVALS
Major Distributors Pursuing Rights for Possible Nationwide/Global Release

Hollywood, CA (November 15, 2007) - The Butcher, the lastest cinematic thrill ride from World Films, Inc., a California-based production company that's re-defining the action-drama genre, has taken the film world by storm, winning critical and audience acclaim at several top U.S. film festivals over the past few weeks as follows:

Cinema City International Film Festival (CCIFF), Los Angeles, Sept. 25-30, 2007
The Butcher's World Premiere was a smashing success. A glittering Red Carpet event with an SRO crowd of Hollywood celebrities and luminaries. This prestigious film capital of the world festival honored The Butcher with a "Best Picture" nomination - a virtually unheard of kudo for action films.

Big Bang Film Festival, Philadelphia, Oct. 17-21, 2007
Building on its smash success at CCIFF, The Butcher played to sold-out crowds at this influential action-adventure festival.

Fort Lauderale International Film Festival (FLIFF), Oct. 15 - Nov. 11, 2007
With buzz surrounding The Butcher at a fever pitch, the film exploded on the scene at FLIFF, instantly becoming the talk of the festival. Every showing was sold-out a week in advance, as audiences couldn't get enough. NBC and CBS got in on the excitement interviewing the stars of the film, while FOX covered the red carpet event line for broadcast new.

As a result of its impressive coming out party, several major distributors are pursuing the film's rights for possible nationwide or global theatrical releases.

"A lot of great people poured their hears into making this film, so it's extremely gratifying to experience such tremendous success," said Anthony V. Pugliese III, co-Chairman of World Films, Inc., and executive producer of The Butcher. "We're looking forward to sharing our vision with a broader audience in the near future."

The Butcher is a tale of a washed up ex-prize fighter turned mob enforcer, Merle Hench, who after a 20-year string of bad luck has 48 golden hours. The film stars Eric Roberts, a twice Academy Award-nominated actor who captivated film audiences in Runaway Train (1985) and The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984). Eric is currently filming the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight.

Written and directed by Jesse Johnson, The Butcher also features Finnish actress Irina Bjorklund, Keith David (Crash, Armageddon, Something About Mary), Michael Ironside (The Perfect Storm, Starship Troopers, Total Recall) and co-stars Robert Davi (License to Kill, Die Hard, The Goonies).
